Today marks the start for #16DaysofActivism against Gender-based violence - where we acknowledge, educate and speak out against gender-based violence and against gender-based discrimination. The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day.
Domestic abuse and violence against women and girls is a destructive issue faced by women across the spectrum - regardless of culture, race, religion, sexuality or age group.
Violence towards women, including nonbinary and gender-diverse people remains a community problem. We can all play a part - from the community, schools, workplaces, sporting clubs, in reshaping the attitudes, norms and structures that lead to violence against women.
If you or someone you care about is experiencing or is impacted by domestic abuse please contact us on 0345 408 0151, info@caswa.org.uk, via our website www.caswa.org.uk
